Kenneth Dixon

Another 2016 4th Rd Pick, Kenneth Dixon, showed flashes of great potential in 2016. However, like Lewis, Dixon has struggled to stay on the field consistently. A four game suspension in 2016 and a torn meniscus in 2017 has caused Dixon to play in just 12 of a possible 32 games so far in his NFL career.

The torn meniscus came at one of the most inopportune times for Dixon, as he had a lot of momentum heading into 2017 off of a breakout rookie year in 2016. As the second RB on the depth chart behind Terrance West, Dixon was flashing in OTA’s, only to tear his meniscus before the start of Training Camp while working out at his Alma Mater. Four Days after being placed on IR, the Ravens signed Alex Collins, and the rest is history.

After escaping the PUP list to begin Training Camp, it’s fair to say Dixon is officially back. However, a whole lot has changed since he’s been gone. Alex Collins played just 12 games and came up 27 yards short of 1,000, and Javorius “Buck” Allen emerged as a 3rd Down pass catching options out of the backfield, and was a perfect complement to Collins.

So, after one unfortunate meniscus tear Dixon has quickly found himself as the 3rd RB on the depth chart, and possibly on the roster bubble if an undrafted rookie shows out in the preseason. Safe to say training camp and preseason is massive for Dixon to prove himself again, and possibly even play himself into the #2 role behind Collins, as there’s no guarantees the backup role is Allen’s to keep.
