With week one of the preseason officially underway, it’s time to take a look at some Baltimore Ravens to watch versus the Los Angeles Rams.

The preseason isn’t as exciting as we’d all wish it would be, but it is important nonetheless. Preseason week one will include a match-up between the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.

After an intriguing Hall of Fame Game versus the Chicago Bears, there is certainly plenty of players to get excited about. On the contrary, there’s also players who need to step up their game in this week’s preseason game. Regardless of the fact that it’s week one of the preseason, to these men to be named, it means everything.

Make sure your able to watch at home, as it will be detrimental that we can understand from a learning standpoint where these players need to be following Thursday’s game. Without further ado, here’s five players who we’ll be watching closely against the Rams.

Lamar Jackson:

As exciting as Lamar Jackson is, we have to remember that he remains a project. This was inherently obvious during the Hall of Fame Game. Jackson looked spectacular at times, but he also looked like a rookie in need of seasoning. His stat line wasn’t anything sexy, competing 40% of his passes for 33-yards with a touchdown and an interception.

But beyond a pedestrian stat-line was a performance that showed off athleticism and electricity that got the crowd excited. Jackson was exactly what we thought he was coming out: a ridiculously talented young man who has some learning to do.

Against the Rams on Thursday night, he’ll have a nice challenge in the form of a Wade Phillips’ called defense. Phillips is one of the NFL’s most successful Defensive Coordinators of the last 20-years. Jackson will have to watch, keep his head on a swivel, and be ready for everything Phillips throws his way.
