2. Robert Griffin III

Quietly, Robert Griffin III had a great showing. He was an efficient 5-7 for 88 yards and he had a beautiful touchdown throw to Perriman. Griffin III looked like he has done this a million times which is huge for him. Griffin III is trying to convince the Ravens to keep three quarterbacks. The best way to do that is to go out and play well. That’s what Griffin is doing. In two preseason games he is 12-18 passing for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Thursday night was Jackson’s night. Jackson was front and center and he was the story of the evening. That being said Griffin had another strong showing in the preseason action. After the Hall of Fame Game, everyone realized that there were going to be three quarterbacks in Baltimore. That thought didn’t change after the second preseason game. Griffin III is making it hard for the Ravens to cut him.

1. Gus Edwards:

Gus Edwards had 12 carries in this preseason contest, which is more than any other Ravens player by a long shot. When the Ravens made a big play on the ground it was either Jackson putting on his show, or Edwards doing his thing. Edwards racked up 58 yards on the ground, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Edwards showed up in this game. Other than a dropped pass, he had a lot to be excited about.

While Mark Thompson made a couple nice plays in the passing game, he averaged 2.3 yards per rushing attempt. For the second week in a row without Kenneth Dixon in the preseason fold, Edwards was the running back that stood out the most.
