1. A Kenneth Dixon Sighting:

Kenneth Dixon where art thou? Due to injury, which is a recurring problem for the former Louisiana Tech star, Dixon hasn’t played a snap during the preseason. In his absence, Gus Edwards has been the star in the Ravens’ backfield. Edwards has racked up 93 yards and is averaging 4.2 yards per attempt. The Ravens still have three preseason games so Kenneth Dixon has a chance to turn the tide. Dixon needs to start making an impact or he could be a surprising player axed from the roster.

Not being at camp, it’s hard to say that Dixon has lost serious ground on Edwards. Dixon has been a very highly touted player and the potential he has is alluring. We have also seen how hard it is to make the team as a preseason warrior in the backfield. Taquan Mizzell got cut last year, despite putting on a show in the exhibition games. Dixon may have a built in advantage but he has to show he can be dependable at some point, right?

Dixon has the most upside between the running backs vying for a roster spot. Alex Collins and Buck Allen already have roster spots locked up. From the outside looking in and based on preseason play, Edwards has a strong case for a roster spot. A Dixon sighting against the Colts could change perception. Dixon can be electric when he has the football.
