The Ravens beat the Colts 20-19. Here are 4 things to be happy about:

4. Flacco played great and the John Brown touchdown was awesome

Joe Flacco only missed on two passes and led an impressive touchdown drive. Flacco looks as sharp as he ever has and it’s something to be excited about in Baltimore. Flacco went 7-9 for 72 yards and the score, and orchestrated the offense about as smoothly as it can be done. He took a deep shot to John Brown at the beginning of the game that he didn’t connect on, but it was close. What was impressive about that play was that the Flacco cannon is officially back. He stepped into the throw and heaved it like it was easy.

John Brown looking good is something we have kept hearing from training camp, yet were eager to see. Brown should deliver a legitimate deep threat that could open the Ravens offense up a bit. His touchdown reception was in the back of the end zone, in heavy traffic. Needless to say it was a quite impressive play. The Flacco-Brown connection looks to be a big part of the offense. Flacco is very comfortable going to the former Arizona Cardinals receiver and it showed.

While it wasn’t a good night for the receivers in the back-end of the depth chart, it was a great night for the Ravens new pass catchers. Michael Crabtree had a very impressive 29 yard reception. Willie Snead had an eight yard catch and Hayden Hurst had one grab for 15 yards. The Ravens passing attack looked precise and practiced when the main guys were in the game.
