2. Defense making big plays

The Ravens seemed to take turns terrorizing the Colts quarterbacks. The Ravens hit each quarterback the Colts trodded out onto the field at least once. Tim Williams, Tyus Bowser, Za’Darius Smith and the future Hall of Famer Terrell Suggs all came away with a sack. Tim Williams has shown the most growth of any player from last year. He found his confidence flying off the edge and had five tackles to go with his quarterback take down.

The Ravens defense had two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Stanley Jean-Babtiste, who is very much a player on the outside looking in, had a pick on a severely under thrown ball. It was the highlight of a solid outing by Jean-Baptiste. Anthony Levine showed some real ball skills as his interception was hard to bring in.

The Ravens made big plays all night long. The Ravens could have seen a tied game late in the game, but Kenny Young, Bronson Kaufusi and Zach Sieler came together on a two point conversion saving tackle. The Ravens forced Jacoby Brisset and company to a turnover on downs in the red zone. All night long the Ravens defense stepped up. It was a solid night for the defense. It is worth noting that Don Martindale really went for it against the Colts.
