Projecting Baltimore Ravens 53 man roster
Offense:
Quarterbacks: Joe Flacco, Robert Griffin III, Lamar Jackson
The Ravens have to keep three quarterbacks. They could only keep two if Lamar Jackson was ready for NFL action in the regular season. Jackson just isn’t there. He is inaccurate and his mechanics need huge work. Robert Griffin III has the understudy role to Flacco. Griffin III has been impressive in the preseason and has given the Ravens every reason to keep him.
Running Backs: Alex Collins, Buck Allen, Kenneth Dixon (Pat Ricard listed under defensive line)
Collins is the main running back. Buck Allen and Kenneth Dixon’s roles are a little less decided. One thing is for sure, these are the three players the Ravens need to keep. Gus Edwards is worth keeping around on the practice squad. He made a strong case for the 53 man roster, but Dixon has returned and he looks ready to roll.

Wide Receivers: Michael Crabtree, John Brown, Willie Snead, Chris Moore, Janarion Grant, Jordan Lasley, Jaleel Scott
This was tough. Jordan Lasley and Jaleel Scott didn’t earn much in their preseason performances but both players have special teams value. Breshad Perriman doesn’t. Perriman made some plays but trusting him to do it in the regular season is a tough thing to do. Janarion Grant is a promising undrafted free agent who is an electric athlete. Baltimore has to give him a chance. Tim White misses the cut because he had a bad preseason.
Tight Ends: Hayden Hurst, Nick Boyle, Mark Andrews
Hayden Hurst has proven that he’s the number one tight end on this team. He can block, he can catch and he’s looked phenomenal this preseason. Nick Boyle is a good blocking tight end and a decent number two tight end for the passing game. Mark Andrews is young and has had some injury struggles this preseason but he is full of potential.
Offensive Line: Ronnie Stanley, James Hurst, Alex Lewis, Matt Skura, Marshal Yanda, Orlando Brown Jr., Jermaine Eluemunor, Nico Siragusa
Bradley Bozeman and Greg Senat aren’t making this roster. It’s too early to give up on Nico Siragusa, who has a lot of potential. The Ravens depth at guard is phenomenal. Several of those guards can be moved over to tackle, so their offensive line should be set. That being said the Ravens need Ronnie Stanley and Orlando Brown Jr. to be healthy for this season to go the way the Ravens want it to.
