Bottom line:

No one in their right mind is expecting Lamar Jackson to light up the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. With Joe Flacco getting the start and likely a good chunk of game time, Jackson may be an after-thought for the team this week. But even in a small amount of time Jackson is given to work with, it’s important that he checks off the previously mentioned tasks from his checklist to show us he’s improving.

Ultimately, Jackson’s progression throughout this preseason will be detrimental to how his career is kicked off. Plus, this could be the last we see of Jackson for a while. Preseason week four is a useless week that no team cares about, and the Ravens might not even roll out Jackson for that game against Washington. Bottom line, we want to see some progression from Jackson this week.

Preseason week three, a.k.a. dress rehearsal week is upon us. We are one week closer to the 2018 regular season, people! But until then, we need to focus on the now and hope that Lamar Jackson can continue making positive steps forward in his NFL development.
