The Ugly

The number one thing you don’t want to see in the preseason is injuries. It looks like DeShon Elliott could be out for the year with a broken arm, according to reports. Elliott is a very exciting rookie out of Texas, who the Ravens hope can be a future starter for them. Greg Senat also reportedly suffered a toe injury. That is a perfect transition into the next point.

The offensive line was atrocious against the Dolphins. Orlando Brown Jr. had an okay night, considering what he was working with. Bradley Bozeman played at least solidly, but other than that the offensive line was a total disaster. There was very little run blocking and the pass protection was a complete joke. The Ravens learned that their offensive line depth isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be. If anything happens to Ronnie Stanley, Marshal Yanda, Orlando Brown Jr. or James Hurst, Baltimore is in trouble.

The first half was frustrating but it did not offer a fair look at the 2018 Baltimore Ravens. It should be noted that it was equally frustrating for the Miami Dolphins, who in the circumstances should have had their way with the Ravens. The second half showed the Ravens that their depth at a lot of positions is just too good to be true.
