The focus is on the 53 man roster, but it should be taking on the Buffalo Bills. Here are three advantages the Baltimore Ravens have in week 1:

3. Home field advantage:

The Baltimore Ravens may have just had the most cleansing offseason in their history. Instead of a brash cleaning of house, the Ravens decided to keep the coaching staff and front office in tact. Instead of trying the same old thing however, the Ravens rebuilt their offense, got 12 NFL Draft picks and managed to re-energize a fanbase who was heartbroken last January. Now the Ravens have a season opener at home, and the Buffalo Bills aren’t ready for this fresh energy that will fill M&T Bank Stadium.

The Ravens are traditionally one of the best home teams in the NFL. That home field advantage has slipped in the last couple of seasons. Things have been frustrating since the Ravens won the Super Bowl in 2012. There hasn’t been a playoff appearance for three seasons, and the Ravens have struggled to find much star power in the last few years. The energy was zapped out of Baltimore. The promise of a new season, after a productive offseason is going to pack the stadium and make it loud.

The Ravens went for it this offseason. They showed a true commitment to the fans. Baltimore is going to be rocking. Facing a good defense and a hostile crowd, the Bills are going to long for Buffalo the moment the ball is kicked off.
