2. The Ravens defense against the Bills:
The Ravens are expecting to have a dominant defense in the 2018 season. The Buffalo Bills are either starting a rookie quarterback (Josh Allen) or Nathan Peterman, who has looked horrible early in his NFL career. This is music to John Harbaugh’s ears. The Bills offensive line is going to have a ton of trouble against the Ravens front seven. That’s bad news for the Bills who will need to rely on running back, LeSean McCoy.
The Ravens secondary will be without Jimmy Smith but that shouldn’t be much of a factor in this game. The Ravens cornerback situation is still rather impressive and Marlon Humphrey is on his way to being a star cornerback anyway. The Ravens led the league in interceptions last season and with Don Martindale’s aggressive defense, Buffalo is going to have a hard time protecting the football.
The Bills don’t have a lot of talent that scares you. Kelvin Benjamin and Charles Clay are decent players, but the Ravens can match up with them. The Ravens are familiar with Deonte Thompson and Zay Jones is coming off a 26 grab season. The Ravens defense has an advantage all across the board on defense. If they bring their A game to the first game of the season, the Bills offense is in trouble.
