3. Running the football:

The Buffalo Bills finished the 2017 season with the fourth worst rushing defense in the NFL, giving up 124.6 yards per game on the ground. It’s hard to imagine that the Bills made a huge improvement in this area this offseason. While preseason stats aren’t always very telling, the Bills finished it ranked 24th in rushing defense.

With Marshal Yanda coming back, and an improved passing game, the Ravens offense should be even better at running the football. Last year the Ravens were the 11th best in terms of rushing yards per game. The game plan seems simple for the purple and black. They need to make a couple big plays throwing the football to keep the Bills honest, and then give them a healthy dosage of Alex Collins, Buck Allen and Kenneth Dixon.

After five preseason games, it’s finally time for the season. The Ravens should get a win in the first week of the season. They have a better roster than Buffalo does and they have three real advantages. If the Ravens come ready to play, and don’t take the Bills game for granted, Baltimore will start the season 1-0.
