4. The Ravens new weapons are working out early

The Ravens added three receivers in the offseason in Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead. All three of Flacco’s touchdowns were spread out to these three new targets. Snead had four receptions for 49 yards to go along with his touchdown. He delivered exactly what the Ravens thought he would, a reliable receiver with an ability to get open. Snead looked like an X-Factor in the making for the purple and black.

Crabtree came to the Ravens with a reputation of being a great red zone threat. Flacco found that to be true by finding him in the back of the end zone. Brown was the receiver of Flacco’s longest pass of the day, a 29 yard gain. The Ravens looked like they had more talent on the offensive side of the football then they have since winning the Super Bowl. The Ravens found a core group of receivers for Flacco, who all seemingly have great chemistry with him.

What is really impressive is that the Ravens attacked the entire field and spread the ball around to a lot of weapons. Seven players had at least three receptions in the contest. The days of Flacco relying on one weapon he has chemistry with, may just be over in Baltimore. It’s a new day for the Ravens’ passing attack.
