Fantasy Football: Ravens outlook for week two match against Bengals
Defense/Special Teams:
Revenge is on the mind of the Baltimore Ravens going into Thursday night, and it all starts with the defense.
After getting run over and embarrassed by the Bengals in week 17 of the 2017 season, one particular “4th down and 12” play should stand out more than any others. It’s this very reason that I expect an even more dominant performance out of the Ravens defense in week two compared to week one.
We all knew heading into the season that the Baltimore Ravens would host a dynamic defense, but no one would’ve believed the amount of dominance displayed week one against the Bills. Six sacks, two turnovers, and the Bills inability to gain yards/first downs put the rest of the Ravens 2018 opponents on stand-by.
With all of that being said, it’s going to be a bloodbath on Thursday night. The Ravens will be incredibly intent on terrorizing the Bengals for 60 minutes and it will all come to fruition the moment they take the field. Sacks will be had and turnovers will come aplenty, as will opportunities to shut-down the Bengals offense and send them packing by half-time.
The Ravens defense is easily the biggest must start for your Fantasy Football team this week (and for the remainder of the season), as is kicker Justin Tucker. Both of these spots will be busy all night long and you’ll be reaping the benefits without having to put much thought into these starts whatsoever.
Projection: 7-13 points allowed, five sacks, three interceptions
