3. Michael Crabtree:
There were a lot of players that could have gotten a game ball in this game, but Michael Crabtree can’t walk away without one. Crabtree had seven receptions for 61 yards. He kept drives alive with huge receptions. In a game where Joe Flacco threw to a bunch of different receivers, nobody stood out like Crabtree.
I was tempted to give the game ball to Mark Andrews, who continues to impress. Andrews had two of the most pivotal receptions in the game. It just seemed like every time the Ravens needed a play, Crabtree was there. Crabtree is a tough receiver that gives the Ravens an option much like they had with Anquan Boldin. Crabtree is filling a void. Style points matter when it comes to the game balls. Crabtree came away with a couple of receptions that were quite impressive.
The Ravens got a huge win. The team played well and showed resilience after a bad start to the game. That’s not something that used to happen with the Ravens. Baltimore took control of the game rather than sinking into a bad moment. For the sake of novelty there are only three game balls, but the whole team should walk with pride.
