3. Historic red zone success:

The Ravens fanbase is so accustomed to field goals ending otherwise perfect drives; but this year they haven’t seen that. The Ravens are an awesome 12-12 in the red zone, scoring touchdowns on each and every trip. That’s not just something that hasn’t happened in team history, that’s something that has never happened ever.

Think about how impressive this is for the Ravens. We’re not talking about Peyton Manning’s Colts or Tom Brady’s Patriots. We’re talking about Joe Flacco’s Ravens making NFL history. We’re not talking about linebackers doing something that has never been done. We’re talking about offense. The Baltimore offense is putting up great numbers but nothing is more exciting than points in the red zone, six points.

The Ravens have been making big plays when it counts. Flacco already has six touchdowns. Scoring used to be such a struggle for this team. Now it’s hard to stop them in the red zone. Then Ravens have a lot of options when the goal line approaches. Marty Mornhinweg is doing a great job of mixing it up.
