2. The run game getting going:

As mentioned before, the Ravens have a great chance to get the run game going, but it doesn’t just have to do with the offensive line. Run blocking is a huge part of the equation but so is Alex Collins and company seeing the right path and explosively going through it. The Ravens running backs have had a really hard time getting going. As a team the Ravens are averaging 3.4 yards per carry, which isn’t remotely good enough.

The frustrating truth is that the Ravens running backs haven’t played all that well as ball carriers this season. Collins hasn’t looked the same. Last year he was undoubtedly the best weapon on the offense. This season, Collins doesn’t feel like the same back. He’s not the home run hitter he once was, he’s not breaking out long runs. Buck Allen is doing a serviceable job, and he is meeting expectations. He is what he is, a good receiving running back who you can trust to pick up a few yards on the ground.

The Ravens have to rip off a big run or two in this game. They have to get over 100 yards on the ground. There is no doubt about it, the Ravens need to play better than they have in this area. The Titans have a very good pass defense. While we want to see Flacco be the reason the Ravens win, we also don’t want to see a one dimensional offense in this game.
