3. Lock in John Brown with a long-term deal:

John Brown had another huge game against the Saints. He had the touchdown that could have taken the game into overtime (It’s okay Mr. Tucker, we still appreciate you). He had over 100 yards receiving and he caught the ball all seven times he was targeted. You can’t ask for a better performance than that. John Brown should get a contract extension from the Ravens. Letting him slip away would be the dumbest thing the Ravens have done in some time.

Brown is averaging almost 20 yards per reception and is the best big play threat Baltimore has. If we’ve learned only one thing this season it is that Brown is a player that needs to be part of the Ravens for more than just one season. The one year “show me” deal has worked out. Flacco to Brown is something that makes the offense fun to watch because it really sparks the entire team. Brown is a piece that the Ravens can’t let get away.

It could cost the Ravens much more in the offseason. Brown has revived his career and he will be sought after in free agency. Eric DeCosta won’t want to put the franchise tag on Brown, at receiver that price is insane. The thing the Ravens have to remember is that Brown relaunched his career in Baltimore. If they give him a good deal, he will want to take it. Take a risk on Brown, because it has paid off in a huge way so far. That’s what the Ravens have to do and it is obvious.
