As the trade deadline looms for NFL teams, the Baltimore Ravens would be wise to make an investment-or-two to help take them over the top.

The Baltimore Ravens have never been known as an aggressive team when it comes to trading, but with the 2018 trade deadline quickly approaching, the team would be wise to make some calls and entertain some trade options.

A Baltimore Ravens vs. New Orleans Saints Super Bowl is not far fetched. light. Must Read

It’s not that the Ravens are one piece away from being a 16-0 team. This is a talented roster that should make the playoffs, but they’re certainly lacking in some areas and could use upgrades. A new offensive linemen has to top the list, but more running backs and a piece-or-two to put the defense over the top would also be a welcoming sight.

The biggest problem is the Ravens historically don’t make huge, splashy trades. The last big move they made was for Eugene Monroe back in 2013. Besides this, the trade deadline seems to come and go through Baltimore without anyone blinking. 2018 will probably be no different, but that won’t stop us from speculating and wishing on stars.

This team is solid, but how much more excitement would we have for the Ravens if they added a guy like Patrick Peterson? Who cares about how unlikely it is, it’s still a fun thought. Maybe even a smaller name like Karl Joseph or Gareon Conley from Oakland could make a difference.

Whatever the case, Baltimore should be buyers this upcoming week. These are the players we would most like to see the Ravens pursue before the trade deadline hits.
