Jordan Howard:

We’ve gone over a likely to happen, an ideal move, and a smart move for Baltimore to make before the trade deadline. Now, it’s time to introduce the flashy, headline grabbing move. The Baltimore Ravens should inquire with the Chicago Bears about Pro Bowl running back Jordan Howard.

Before you call me an idiot or talk about how delusional I am, hear me out. The Bears have had a surprisingly effective offense in 2018. First-year Head Coach Matt Nagy has helped this offensive to come alive in 2018 behind the play of second-year quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Meanwhile, Howard has been completely out-shined by fellow running back Tarik Cohen. Howard looks like a shell of his former-self. Perhaps it’s time for a change of scenery.

It’s no secret that Baltimore run game has been, well bad. After the season Alex Collins had in 2017, it seemed like a forgone conclusion that he would build off his momentum and follow it up with an encore performance in 2018. Instead, Collins has been largely ineffective and has lost the trust of fans and coaches. Enter Jordan Howard. Suddenly, the Ravens run game looks revived.

Part of Howard’s slump in 2018 has to do with Nagy’s new offensive scheme. In Baltimore, Howard would return to a downhill running styled offense that would lean very heavily on him to carry the load. With the play of Joe Flacco in 2018, Howard is the missing piece to a complete offense. Match them with this defense, and there would be few teams who could go toe-to-toe with Baltimore.
