Matt LaFleur:

Matt LaFleur, the current Offensive Coordinator for the Tennessee Titans, has to be the top NFL candidate to make the jump to Head Coach. After spending many seasons with numerous football programs, both professional and college, as a quarterbacks coach, LaFleur made the transition to Offensive Coordinator in 2017 under Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams. Now, he’s the man who should replace John Harbaugh in Baltimore.

LaFleur has had experience in the pros and guided the Rams offense in 2017 to become its most effective offensive unit since the days of the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Now with the Titans, LaFleur is turning around a stale offense into an explosive one following the team’s week eight bye. Quarterback Marcus Mariota looks revived in LaFleur’s scheme and is helping to get Tennessee back on track towards a playoff berth.

In Baltimore, LaFleur would have another young, athletic quarterback to work with in Lamar Jackson, as well as some likely high draft picks to use on offensive play-makers. The Ravens do have a couple pieces in place, but the team can also use some of their cap space to sign some big-name free agents (Le’Veon Bell, anyone?), provided the team cuts ties with Joe Flacco.

Matt LaFleur is a fantastic option for Baltimore, and is by far the most likely of the bunch. The matching of LaFleur and the Ravens seems like one made by a premium dating website, with that 99% match-rating. It’s likely to happen and it’s the right move for the team to make.
