Gus Edwards needs more chances to show off:

Gus Edwards racked up 115 yards and he didn’t even have 20 carries in the ball game. Edwards did that on 17 rushing attempts, which shows he had a tremendous day of work. The Ravens haven’t been able to run the football well all season. The Ravens are clearly a different team with Jackson under center (we’ll get to that later) but Edwards showed a better running style than Alex Collins has all season. Collins has struggled to get much of anything done this season.

Collins is averaging 3.6 yards per carry this season. Edwards just ran for 6.8 per carry in a game. Collins has had a hard time getting up the field and breaking big run plays. Edwards is a running back who gets right down to business. Edwards hits the point of attack at full speed on every play and he works well with Jackson. Jackson and Edwards kept the Bengals defense guessing all game long. Collins got phased out of the game for the most part. He only had seven carries that netted 18 yards.

Moving forward the Ravens learned that Edwards has a lot of potential and he is capable of having a big day. They learned that Edwards and Jackson are a wonderful combination and that they probably should have used Edwards more before this game. Going into the game, everybody wanted to see Ty Montgomery, the new Ravens running back. After the game, everybody wants to see more of Edwards.
