Prediction 4. The Ravens defense finds it’s groove against the Buccaneers:

What’s going to happen after the Chiefs hand the Ravens a tough loss? People will start to wonder if the defense is overrated, and then the defense will take it out on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The one thing this defense hasn’t done all that well this season is take the football away. That will change against the Buccaneers. Whether they face Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick, both quarterbacks are turnover slot machines. Expect the Ravens to hit the jackpot, and for a turnover streak to begin in that game.

It’s almost weird how few takeaways a mostly stellar defensive unit like the Ravens have. The ball just hasn’t bounced that way when the opportunities have been there. A little luck will go a long way, and facing a turnover prone Buccaneers team is a good way to create their own luck. If this defense gets hot, the season is going to have a chance to be very memorable.

The defense will have a similar performance against the Falcons as they did against the Raiders. It won’t be all that pretty, but it will be more than enough to get the win. The Chiefs will give the Ravens a heavy weight fight. The week after that is when this defense has to wake up and play at the incredibly high level that they are capable of playing. The defense will find a new level here.
