2. Win crucial individual match-ups:

The Baltimore Ravens are in a must-win situation for the remainder of 2018, but this game might be the staple victory they need to get back on the map. Sure, the Atlanta Falcons have not been the world-beaters we thought they’d be headed into the year, but they are still an incredibly talented team.

Their team is still littered with Pro Bowlers like Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Damontae Kazee, Matt Bryant, and plenty of others. Therefore, winning the majority of individual match-ups across the board will be the key to victory here, and there’s plenty of one-on-one’s to monitor.

The biggest match-ups include the following:

  • Tavon Young vs. Calvin Ridley
  • Terrell Suggs vs. Jake Matthews
  • Lamar Jackson vs. Damontae Kazee

Obviously, matching-up against Julio Jones will take a team effort of the entire secondary, namely Marlon Humphrey and Jimmy Smith (as we previously discussed). However, taking down Matt Ryan and the high-flying Falcons offense will require lots of discipline from the secondary as a whole.

The Ravens will definitely need their defense to show up and keep Atlanta quiet, but that also means the team’s offense needs to step up. Baltimore will really need Lamar Jackson to make a strides as a passer, now more than ever. The Falcons don’t have a fantastic defense either, so Jackson should have no excuses not to let off fireworks.
