9. Kenneth Dixon is…back:

Kenneth Dixon was one of the eye popping players on the field this week. Dixon is a player the Ravens could have given up on a long time ago. Between his suspension and his various injuries, Dixon has made the Ravens wait. Dixon put on a show against the Chiefs. He was explosive with the football in his hands and he made a huge impression. He had eight runs for 59 yards and a touchdown. If Dixon can keep this up, which is always an if with him, the Ravens may be getting another x-factor for their offense.

8. Eric Weddle and the pack of strong safeties are a problem:

One of the most frustrating parts of this contest was the fact that a great free safety would have made a huge difference. It’s not like the Ravens had a chance to draft Derwin James or anything…oh wait, they did. Eric Weddle’s weaknesses as a 33 year old safety showed up in this game. He doesn’t have great speed or range. He struggled to get in position to make plays, despite Mahomes putting so much air on some of those passes that Weddle should have come through. This has to be the last year as Weddle being the free safety. He’s a strong safety, who has lost a step playing the free safety role. It’s not working. He’s one of the coolest Ravens, but he is also one of their biggest problems.

The Ravens entire safety situation is frustrating. Tony Jefferson didn’t play in this game, but he would have offered Baltimore more of the same. Chuck Clark and Anthony Levine are strong safeties, both who missed tackles against the Chiefs. The Ravens need speed in the back end of their defense and they don’t have it.
