Rely on the defense:

Crab cakes, Edgar Allan Poe, and elite defenses are the biggest staples of Baltimore, Maryland. As far as the latter goes, it simply is an expectation by fans at this point. Well, 2018’s squad hasn’t disappointed often, and now its getting hotter and hotter at the perfect time.

Right now, everything is clicking for the Baltimore Ravens defense. The team is getting pressure, keeping opponents quiet enough for the offense to uphold its half of the bargain, and recording turnovers. As far as what you look for in a defensive unit, this is it. The only difference is that this unit is interested in doing far more than the bare minimum.

In fact, what this defensive unit is doing right now is good enough for a title run. These guys come out every week with a swagger that they can beat down anyone. No one scares this squad, but this squad scares everyone. It’s got everything: veterans who lead by example, youngsters who are stepping up, and confidence to do anything and everything. You can’t ask for much more than that.

The way this defense is playing right now could help to carry Baltimore to a Super Bowl LIII berth and victory. Until then, the unit is more than capable of winning the team an AFC North division title. This unit alone could do that, but the Ravens have the luxury of having a couple more factors at their disposal…
