Let Lamar Jackson work his magic:

Once Lamar Jackson took over, everything changed for the Baltimore Ravens. The offense went from stale, dysfunctional, and flat out mediocre to, well, the exact opposite. Jackson has breathed new, and unique, life into the team’s offense. This is a unit that runs the ball at will against opposing defenses and there’s nothing anyone can do to slow them down.

Between Jackson, Gus Edwards, and Kenneth Dixon, no one has an answer on how to stop them. Each player brings his own taste to the attack and it keeps opposing defenses off-balanced and constantly guessing. The Ravens have shot-up dramatically in the run-offense category among NFL teams. Currently, Baltimore sits at second in rushing yards per game, only behind the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle, by the way, has an extremely similar run-game to Baltimore’s, so that’s a nice thought to have.

However, it’s not the run game that makes the offense click, it’s Lamar Jackson.

It’s often said that a team will only go as far as its quarterback will take them.Like it or not, this saying still rings true for the 2018 Baltimore Ravens. The defense is outstanding, but it isn’t a historical unit, so you can count out a defensive driven run. The pass attack is practically nonexistent, but that’s because Jackson is still growing as a passer. But with his legs, Jackson is electric.

It’s Jackson’s mobility, creativity, and explosiveness that will have Baltimore vying for a playoff run. He’s arguably the biggest reason that the Ravens are currently sitting in first place in the AFC North, and he’ll likely be the catalyst to the team maintaining its lead in the division. Behind Lamar Jackson, this team can go as far as they want, but an AFC North crown seems all but locked up.
