‘Tis the season! Happy holidays, Ravens Flock! What do you want for Christmas this year? Well, here’s what we all want for our Baltimore Ravens…

Mariah Carey put it best all the way back in 1994 when she told us that all she wanted for Christmas was you. Well, in 2018, all the Baltimore Ravens want for Christmas is what the team is currently trending towards.

Our list is a simple one, and hopefully no one thinks we’re asking too much. The current AFC North first place 9-6 Baltimore Ravens are screaming “Super Bowl!” as loud as they can. With everything that’s been going on lately, it doesn’t seem too crazy of a thought. After all, no one wants to play this team right now. Baltimore is red-hot and they can’t be slowed down by anyone.

It would take a catastrophe for the Ravens to blow what they currently have. Things are great in Charm City right now, so we have to keep our Christmas list simple. This time of the year is about giving, not receiving. The Ravens have given us plenty to be thankful for in 2018, so all we’re asking for this year is…

A 2018 AFC North title:

Let’s start simple. After such a bad stretch of games in 2018, including three-straight losses before their week 10 bye week, Baltimore quickly turned things around. Suddenly, the Ravens won five of their next six games, and could very easily have been 6-0, and are on track to make the playoffs.

There’s very few scenarios at this point in which the Ravens miss the post-season. However, there’s one surefire way to make sure they lock-up their playoff ticket: win the AFC North.

Just a month ago, this seemed unobtainable. The Pittsburgh Steelers were rolling and seemed destined for a deep run off their steaming offense. Then everything fell apart, and now the Steelers could miss the playoffs entirely. In that time, Baltimore has flourished. The Ravens struggles and hardships will certainly be rewarded.

Should the Ravens hang on and win the AFC North, it will be the team’s first division title since 2012, the last time the made and won the Super Bowl. Baltimore will have gone 6-1 since their bye week in 2018 to get into the playoffs and win their division. But most importantly, the Ravens would’ve gone 6-1 with rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson at the helm.

Things have taken a massive 180 in Charm City, for the better. The 2018 season had been a roller-coaster of a ride, but the last two-ish months have been as good as we’ve seen in a long time. The AFC North is clearly Baltimore’s to lose at this point, but it doesn’t seem likely to happen.
