The Case for Nick Foles:

If you want to convince the Jaguars to go with Nick Foles, just remind them that they saw Joe Flacco throw for 28 yards in a game against them. All jokes aside, Foles has a case for being the better option. Foles is four years younger than Flacco and is all the sudden a hot commodity. Foles has earned a new reputation. He is better than he was in his original stint as the Eagles starter. If you put Foles in the right situation he is capable of performing well.

Foles has looked impressive for two consecutive seasons in the playoffs. Flacco hasn’t played in a playoff game since 2014. As the Eagles backup quarterback he has done a good job getting the team to rally around him. Foles is a player with a really positive vibe and he’s shown that he can build a chemistry with receivers in a short time. The NFL has thrown just about everything at Foles and he never goes away. Foles still has plenty of football in him and he may have earned a new chance to be a starter. His experience on the bottom and the top of the football world may help him moving forward.

The fact that there are debates about whether the Eagles are better with Carson Wentz or Foles speaks to the level of play they have seen from Foles. Foles is the hot hand, while Flacco offers the better sample size. Foles could be on to bigger and better things. Flacco is who he is at this point.
