3. Adam Humphries, Wide Receiver (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

When you can’t draft and develop wide receivers you have to be good at snatching them up in free agency. Welcome to the Ravens way of doing things, in other words. Adam Humphries would be a perfect match for the Ravens offense. He’s 5’11” and just under 200 pounds. He’s a receiver who makes his living as a route runner and he is quick. Basically, if Lamar Jackson liked to throw the ball to Willie Snead, he’ll love this receiver.

Humphries is coming off a great season with the Buccaneers. He had 76 receptions for 816 yards and five touchdowns. He also provides special teams value and he could be a great addition as a punt returner. Humphries is a catch machine. In the 2018 season he had seven games with at least five receptions. He is a reliable receiver whose production has grown incrementally every season. Now he is an unrestricted free agent and he is entering what should be the peak of his career.

Next. The Ravens must make a tough call with Eric Weddle. dark

The Ravens do have a new general manager, but one who has been here the whole time. DeCosta may not feel comfortable going to the NFL Draft for his wide receivers. Humphries would be a good addition to the Ravens roster. Last offseason saw the wide receiver market heavily inflated, but Humphries should be in a comfortable price range for Baltimore. He’s a solid player but he isn’t a superstar. The reason the Ravens need to go get him is simple, he is a quarterback friendly receiver who will make himself open for Lamar Jackson in the passing game.
