3. Wide Receivers Wanted:

The Ravens had a chance for a game winning touchdown go right out of Michael Crabtree’s hands in Cleveland. Crabtree dropped more than one pass in more than just one game and his future could see him being a cap casualty pretty soon. John Brown signed a one year deal and he’s not promised a spot back next year. Once teams caught on that Brown was the Ravens only halfway decent deep threat, Browns’ chances went down. Here we go again, the Ravens need wide receivers.

The one thing the Ravens do have is a very Lamar Jackson friendly receiver in Willie Snead. Everything else is a mystery at the position. The Ravens are set at tight end with Mark Andrews coming off a great rookie season. Andrews had a 68 yard reception in Los Angeles and it was one of several big plays he made over the course of the year. Hayden Hurst came along nicely after being hurt to start the season.

The 12-9 loss to the Browns was the biggest example of the Ravens needs at the receiver position. That’s when Joe Flacco was at quarterback and the team had a pass first attack. Crabtree and Brown both had dropped passes in the game and no receiver had more than 66 yards. Flacco threw the ball 56 times  Crabtree was targeted 12 times and came away with six receptions. Brown was targeted 14 times and came away with four grabs. This game was an eyesore for the receivers on the roster.
