Round 1: N’Keal Harry (WR, Arizona State)

Get used to seeing this pick, and I’m not just talking about myself. Multiple NFL Draft experts and writers have talked about how perfect of a fit N’Keal Harry would be for the Baltimore Ravens at pick 22. Honestly? If the 2019 NFL Draft fell this way, the Ravens should be ecstatic.

Harry, a 6’4″ 213-lbs. wide receiver from Arizona State University, is the perfect X-receiver for today’s NFL. His big-frame and soft hands makes him a perfect match for Lamar Jackson as he matures into being a better NFL quarterback. A wise man once said, “when you have an inaccurate quarterback, get him guys with a big catch radius,” and that’s precisely what Harry brings to the Ravens offense.

During his three-year tenure with the Sun Devils, Harry notched over 3,000 scrimmage yards and 25 touchdowns, not including a 99-yard punt return last season or his 14-yard touchdown pass in 2017. Harry is insane with the ball in his hands. Guys his build shouldn’t be able to move the way he does, and yet he is consistently outrunning the opposition and creating havoc after the catch. Put the ball in “Real-Deal” N’Keal’s hands and watch him work.

While Baltimore will likely continue a trend of marketing itself as a run-first offense, the team will still need receivers to throw to when the air-attack is needed. Harry is extremely young (21-years old) and can grow with Jackson throughout their careers. Their ability to build chemistry with one-another is too enticing to pass-up.

Through one round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Ravens have finally found themselves a true no.1 receiver. What the team does after this will be crucial, as Baltimore owns no second round pick this year, due to a trade in 2018 with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire Lamar Jackson.
