5. Karan Higdon (Michigan)

Higdon is a solid running back from the Big 10. The Michigan star got better every single season. He got close to 1,000 yards in 2017 and in 2018 he had 1,178 yards. Higdon is a speedy back who is shifty. He’s not incredibly elusive but he’s good at sneaking a few extra yards out of every carry. Higdon scored 27 touchdowns in his collegiate career, which is nothing to scoff at.

Higdon’s ceiling is being a player like Thomas Jones. A 5’10” 200 pound running back that patiently knifes through the defense, describes Higdon perfectly. His floor is a change of pace back that plays a complementary role. He’s a good athlete, who will find a job but being a superstar isn’t a given. Higdon is a player that would be best valued in the fourth round. He’s decent and he has a lot of potential but he’s not going to be a Saquan Barkley like rookie.

The Ravens should look at drafting a running back in the 2019 NFL Draft, unless they use free agency to add to the position group. The Ravens have players who are serviceable, in the backfield with Lamar Jackson. That being said, the position could use an upgrade.
