The Baltimore Ravens wide receiving core is once again in need of upgrading, but who could the team sign in Free Agency to make an impact?

Death, taxes, and the Baltimore Ravens having a need at wide receiver. These are the few guarantees that life grants us. While the former two have always been around, perhaps the Ravens can begin changing their luck for their wide receiver deficiency?

Seems pretty far-fetched, especially after the team decided to move on from wide receiver Michael Crabtree just one year after signing him to a three-year $21 million contract. But right now, the future success of the team’s offense and its young franchise quarterback, Lamar Jackson, depends on the front office’s decision to invest once again in fixing that position this off-season.

The 2019 NFL Draft class presents us with plenty of options for the Baltimore Ravens to explore in each round of the draft, but the 2018 Free Agency pool must be used. The pickings are slim, but the team is practically desperate for answers. Cutting Crabtree was a smart move, but now the question becomes whether or not Baltimore can find a suitable replacement.

With the new league year set to start on March 15th, the Baltimore Ravens need to begin doing extensive research into finding guys to bring in. The strength of this Free Agency group lies in its veterans. While Baltimore could be drawn to younger guys like Tyrell Williams, it would be a better investment to go young in the draft and get a veteran via Free Agency.

There are plenty to choose from, but these are the three who stood out the most to me…
