Tier 3: Solid studs

  • J.J. Arcega Whiteside (Stanford)
  • Andy Isabella (UMASS)
  • Riley Ridley (UGA)
  • Jazz Ferguson (Northwestern St)

J.J. Arcega Whiteside is one of the most fun receiver to break down in the entire draft class. He’s so big and he uses his body almost like a big tight end to box out the defensive backs around him. He embodies what this grouping really is. This is the grouping for very good receivers that don’t quite have the traits that would get them selected in the first round.

Andy Isabella is the player everybody is comparing to Julian Edelman, because it’s so obvious. He’s a quick and shifty route runner who will live in the slot and will be very productive for a lucky NFL team. Riley Ridley was a go to weapon for the Georgia Bulldogs. Ridley could be a Torrey Smith caliber player in the NFL. Jazz Ferguson has the coolest name in the draft class, but his athletic ability is awesome as well.

These are all second round talents to me. They may not be superstars but they are going to be productive. The receiver position has gotten a bad reputation in the draft because of the recent drafts. These receivers prove that the position is as talented as it ever was and they are perfect day two options.
