The breakaway threats:

Alabama’s Josh Jacobs sits at the top, but the Ravens would likely need to spend a round one selection on him to obtain his services. Despite a lack of speed, Jacobs is still a home-run option for Baltimore to add to their backfield. While this could still be a possibility, it seems unlikely given the addition of Mark Ingram, as well as how similar the two play. If the Ravens did draft him, however, they’d be getting a fantastic chess piece who could be the centerfold of the team’s offense.

After Jacobs, the next best running back is anyone’s pick. Memphis contains track-star Darrell Henderson, who has the best breakaway speed of any running back in the draft. Henderson is always one-touch away from breaking-off a big play, something the Ravens offense could really use.

Florida Atlantic’s Devin “Motor” Singletary is another speed back who can change the dynamic of the Ravens offense. While Singletary didn’t test overly well at the 2019 NFL Combine, his tape still shows a runner who consistently pulls away from defenders. Singletary would certainly be a unique addition to Baltimore’s backfield.

Henderson and Singletary are undoubtedly the 2019 NFL Draft’s best speed runners, and Baltimore would be wise to entertain selecting either one of them. Add in Josh Jacobs and these three running backs would give the Ravens offense its best shot for a game-changing runner. After these guys, there are still plenty of prospects who make up for a lack of speed with their all-around play-style.
