13. Miami Dolphins – Dwayne Haskins, Quarterback, Ohio State (C)

The Giants could pass Haskins up but the Dolphins weren’t missing out. Haskins falling this far is hard to believe, but in a no trade mock draft, where value picks rule the day, this can happen. Haskins is a big bodied quarterback and a prolific passer. He has the best arm talent in this draft class and it isn’t really close. While he isn’t a great athlete, pocket passers never really go out of style in the NFL. Haskins is certainly a boom or bust prospect, but the Dolphins have to make this pick.

14. Atlanta Falcons – Greedy Williams, Cornerback, LSU (R)

You me be surprised to see the Falcons pass up an edge rusher like Brian Burns here but hear me out on this one. For starters, the team’s depth chart is absolutely depleted at the cornerback position, and Desmond Trufant will be 29-years old to start the 2019 season. Williams would be an immediate starter for a fast and physical Falcons defense with a chance to be the team’s top-guy by the end of the season. Williams presents excellent value at 14th overall and could be seen as a steal by this time next year.

15. Washington Redskins- DeAndre Baker, Cornerback, Georgia (C)

Take it from the guy who mocked Marlon Humphrey to the Ravens in 2017, big physical cornerbacks are my thing. Washington gets it right here at a position they always need help at. Baker has the perfect build and wingspan for a cornerback and is a phenomenally smooth athlete. He has ball skills and is good at dislodging the ball as the receiver tries to come down with it. You want a fighter at the cornerback spot and Washington gets that with Baker.

16. Carolina Panthers – D.K. Metcalf, Wide Receiver, Ole Miss (R)

Another team in need of a future edge rusher passes on the position for a potential stud. The Panthers added D.J. Moore in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, but that shouldn’t stop them from continuing to surround Cam Newton with talent to make another playoff run. Metcalf’s athleticism will give the Panthers what they wanted from guys like Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess. The difference is that Metcalf’s athleticism already makes him a better choice. Eventually, the Panthers need to add size to their receiving attack and Metcalf would put an exclamation point on that.
