Second Tier: Top 10 leftovers

  • Clelin Ferrell (Clemson)
  • Brian Burns (FSU)
  • Rashan Gary (Michigan)

Anybody who follows this blog will tell you that I am very high on Clelin Ferrell. I think he’s a physical player who plays so aggressively, it fits the Ravens like a glove. Ferrell is coming off a season in which his team was crowned the national champions and he had 11 sacks and forced three fumbles. He started showing flashes of brilliance in his sophomore season with six sacks. At this point he’s developed into one of the most complete pass rushers in this draft class.

Brian Burns is a player that has incredible measurables. He is a lengthy 6’5″ 245 pound pass rusher. He ran a 4.53 second 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine. Burns is a player who can make game tape look like a highlight reel. The only knock on Burns is that he has such a lean frame, If Burns falls to the 22nd pick though, the Ravens would have a hard time passing him up.

I have Rashan Gary at 25 on my personal big board, but he could go much higher than that and he is surely a first round pass rusher. Gary is a great athlete. He looks the part and he is incredibly explosive.
