Instead of discussing first round players, let’s talk day two guys in the 2019 NFL Draft, especially since the Ravens have two third round selections.

Darrell Henderson:

The Baltimore Ravens currently possess a solid stable of running backs with Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards leading the charge. Beyond them, there’s little to be confident about. Kenneth Dixon has been nothing shy of terrible, while De’Lance Turner remains a complete mystery for the team. Day two of the 2019 NFL Draft will be the sweet spot for running backs, giving the Ravens a perfect opportunity to add a top-end talent.

Baltimore currently has thunder and more thunder in their backfield. Besides Lamar Jackson, the team is lacking a speedy, breakaway guy. This is even less ideal when that guy is your quarterback… Therefore, a speed back would be in the best interest for the Ravens to add.

Plenty of guys are more than suited for this role, but none more so than Memphis’ Darrell Henderson. Henderson’s 40-yard dash time won’t blow you away, but his tape and burst certainly will. Once Henderson gets to the second-level, consider him as good as gone.

Henderson would compliment the Ravens current backfield wonderfully. Henderson brings a little bit of everything to the table, as he is more than a solid receiver. Truth be told, Henderson could end up being the best pick Baltimore makes when we look back at this draft. No matter what, the Ravens should stick to their draft plan and keep adding offensive players and weapons to surround Lamar Jackson with.
