The Baltimore Ravens selection of Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown certainly stirred up some interesting conversations on Twitter…

Congrats to Marquise Brown for not only being a first round pick, but also for being the first wide receiver taken in the entire 2019 NFL Draft! That is truly a great accomplishment, and Baltimore Ravens fans are thrilled to have you aboard.

Following the pick, I decided to hop on Twitter and take a look at the general reactions regarding Hollywood Brown to the Ravens. While some hated on the pick (especially in the Fantasy Football realm), most had nothing but positive words to share.

Starting off was the Baltimore Ravens Twitter account welcoming Brown to Baltimore with the perfect saying…

Seriously, how does it get any better than that?

Well, Marquise Brown’s stats are certainly tantalizing. Considering he had all those stats in just two-years, it makes it that much more exciting. In 2018 alone Brown recorded over 1,300-yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging over 17-YPR.

Matt Bowen, a highly regarded and respected member of the draft community for ESPN, gave praise to this pick. Bowen noted that Brown would fit right into Baltimore’s offense because of his ability to create yards after the catch. Brown isn’t just the deep speed guy, but he’s also a player who you just want the ball in his hands. Whenever Hollywood Brown has an opportunity, he can take it for six.

Obviously, the University of Oklahoma is proud of Brown for all his accomplishments with the Sooners, but for them to make their own little highlight tape just for him getting drafted is special. Marquise Brown is certainly one of the best receivers the Sooners have had in the last decade and replacing him will be tough.
