What did the 2019 NFL Draft teach us about the Baltimore Ravens?

1. The Ravens are going to be all about the big play:

The Baltimore Ravens could have taken N’Keal Harry when they made their first round pick. It would have been a pick that would have made for a lot of happy members of the Ravens Flock. The selection of Marquise Brown was the first sign of the Ravens plans. The Ravens weren’t looking for a possession receiver or a player to go get jump balls. They were looking for players who can take the football to the end zone on any given play.

The Ravens now have a lot of speed on the offense. They have the fastest quarterback in the NFL, they drafted a speed demon in Brown and Justice Hill was the fastest running back in the 2019 NFL Draft. Brown averaged 18.3 yards per reception as an Oklahoma Sooner. Miles Boykin averaged 15.7 yards per reception over the course of his career at Notre Dame. Hill rushed for 5.6 yards per carry in his three year run with Oklahoma State.

Everything the Ravens have done this offseason is to make things easier for the offense. Even the additions of Mark Ingram and Seth Roberts net the Ravens players with big play ability.  They proved in the 6-1 stretch of 2018 that they could operate a ball control offense, however big plays make things easier. If Jackson can get the ball to his play-makers in the open field, this offense is going to blaze by some of their opponents.
