Kenneth Dixon:

There are very few players in the Baltimore Ravens franchise history whom the team has drafted that I’ve been incredibly disappointed in. Linebacker Arthur Brown had the top-spot for a long time, but he’s been dethroned by Kenneth Dixon, and I don’t see any way in which he loses that claim.

I drank the Kenneth Dixon Kool-Aid more than anyone else in the whole world even before he was drafted by the Ravens. When they took him in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, I all but died and went to Heaven. I was ready to buy his jersey right then and there, but thankfully I never did…

The undoing of Dixon’s career came early thanks to injuries all over the place. It was incredibly depressing because when he saw the field he was remarkable. But, the injuries continued to pile up. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Dixon began receiving suspensions for PEDs. Soon enough, the train had completely derailed for Kenneth Dixon.

Since all this began happening, Baltimore has easily found replacements for him. Alex Collins was a stud in 2017, while UDFA Gus Edwards became a household name in Charm City during the second-half of the 2018 season. Now, Pro Bowler Mark Ingram has strolled into town and the Ravens drafted Justice Hill in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

If it wasn’t already, the writing is certainly on the wall for Dixon in Baltimore. If this his career was only hampered due to injuries then that’s one thing, but because of the consistency of both injuries and suspensions, it’s hard to be too sympathetic with him. I’m sure he’ll get a second-chance somewhere else in 2019, but it won’t be with the Baltimore Ravens.
