Baltimore Ravens have to prove themselves in 2019 season

3. A Coaching Staff with something to prove:

John Harbaugh removed himself from the hot seat last season by getting the Ravens to the playoffs. Harbaugh still has a lot to prove. He has to prove that this is going to be the next golden stretch for Baltimore football. He has to prove that he can recreate the successes of the 2008-2012 stretch where the Ravens were a playoff noise maker on a yearly basis. Harbaugh may be off the hot seat but he has to shut down any talk about the Ravens moving on from him.

Greg Roman has a lot to prove as the offensive coordinator. This is his third time being an offensive coordinator in the NFL. He was a scapegoat for the Buffalo Bills in his last coordinator job and he’s got to make the Ravens coordinator position the one that sticks. Roman has to prove that he can do more than just come up with interesting schemes. He’s been charged with helping the Ravens rushing attack since he got to Baltimore. Now Roman has to focus on the entire offense. He has to prove that he should have been the coordinator this whole time.

The Ravens have more to prove than just about any team in the NFL. While most of the attention goes to Jackson’s quest to become the Ravens franchise quarterback, there are so many people who need to prove themselves on this team.
