Goal number 3: Sacks and interceptions

Last season Onwuasor had 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. He is a player that can make an impact greater than just tackling running backs and receivers. Onwuasor is a good blitzing linebacker and a versatile player that defensive coordinator, Don Martindale can experiment with. Onwuasor needs to have the big tackle numbers but his goal should be to make an all around impact on this defense.

A good goal for Onwuasor would be three-five sacks and three-five interceptions. In 2014 Mosley had 133 tackles with three sacks and two picks. This is a good stat line for Onwuasor to reach for. The key is that he becomes one of the most versatile and dependable linebackers in football because he has the athleticism for that. The Ravens have a history of great linebackers that can do it all. It all started with Ray Lewis, but it continued with players like Daryl Smith and Mosley. Onwuasor’s goal should be to keep that tradition strong in Baltimore.

Next. What the Ravens need from each running back. dark

This is the biggest year of Onwuasor’s career. He has the chance to prove that he is a quality starting linebacker who can be a core part of a defense. This is his chance not to just work in the NFL, but to be a star in the NFL. These three goals are perfectly tailored to him. He needs to be an every down linebacker, who produces 100 tackles or more, that makes an all around impact on the game.
