3. Stifle the AFC North’s best weapons:

Odell Beckham Jr. gave the Cleveland Browns an elite receiver. The Ravens have to face Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry twice a year when they do battle with the Browns. Antonio Brown may have gone to the AFC West though JuJu Smith-Schuster and A.J. Green have stayed right where they were. The AFC North has some very talented receivers; in fact the  AFC Pro Bowl spots at wide receiver could be filled from the Ravens; three division foes. The Ravens have a top notch secondary and it wasn’t by accident. Eric DeCosta knows what the team is going up against in the AFC North.

If you include Smith-Schuster in the upper echelon of wide receivers in the NFL, Humphrey has a chance to play elite competition in at least six of the Ravens 16 games. That makes the secondary (and more specifically, Humphrey) as the key to winning the division for a second consecutive year. The Ravens have rivals with difference makers at the wide receiver position. That means Humphrey must lead the way for the Ravens against the Browns, Steelers and Bengals.

dark. Next. 3 goals for Earl Thomas in 2019

Humphrey has to have a great season to solidify his place among the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He has to punish quarterbacks more with interceptions and he must step up in the tough games in the AFC North. If Humphrey can achieve these things it will be a great season for the Ravens defense.
