The Madden 20 ratings are always a hotly debated affair, and now we have a few reactions from the some Baltimore Ravens rookies on their overall rating.

Madden is unbiased and unforgiving when it comes to their rankings. Just ask Justin Tucker, the leagues best kicker, why he isn’t consistently a 99 overall. There’s so many stats that go into the rankings that he’s never quite there. For Madden 20, it’s more of the same.

Many people have avoided buying new Madden games because it’s seen universally as “an updated roster.” However, Madden 20 promises to make new changes to its game-play, particularly with “Franchise mode” and adding “superstar” abilities to certain players.

But that’s not why we’re here reading this article. No, we’re here to look at Madden 20’s rookie ratings. The official EA Madden account tweeted a short video with some of the rookies reactions:

In the video, we are treated right off the bat to wide receiver Miles Boykin discussing his low run blocking grade of 54. “Have you guys seen my blocking?” was Boykin’s response to the disrespect. Baltimore Ravens fans are certainly hoping that’s not the case considering the high-octane rushing attack the Ravens plan to employ this season.

On the other hand, Marquise Brown was given the king’s treatment from the Madden crew. Brown was not only ranked as Madden 20’s highest overall rookie wide receiver, but he will open the game with the second highest speed rating at 97 (with 95 acceleration).

While Ravens Flock is still sore about Breshad Perriman, his rookie Madden speed was also at 97 as a rookie and he was deadly in the game despite his constant injuries. Brown should be no different for this year’s addition of Madden.

Brown also pokes fun at himself when asked who received the highest strength rating of the wide receivers. That title belongs to Seattle Seahawks’ D.K. Metcalf at a whopping 77 for a wide receiver. Upon hearing this, Brown decided to settle and give himself a 61! Gotta love the humility, but then again, he also suggested they bump his speed from 97 to 98…
