The Baltimore Ravens play in one of the most interesting divisions in the National Football League. Here are three big questions facing the Ravens and their division rivals:

Baltimore Ravens:

1. What will the Lamar Jackson/ Greg Roman offense look like?

The Ravens offense could look a lot like it did last season with Lamar Jackson. It seems doubtful that Baltimore would lean less on the running game this season. That being said, the Ravens have a new play-caller and Lamar Jackson is putting in the work this offseason. Nobody knows what to expect from the offense.

Remember, the Ravens don’t have John Brown and Michael Crabtree anymore. They have been replaced with two rookies in Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin. The Ravens added Mark Ingram and Justice Hill to the backfield. There is a lot of new pieces to the offense. With Jackson being a unique quarterback and Roman being an innovative coordinator this offense could look different than anything we’ve ever seen.

2. Will the turnover on the defensive portion of the roster prevent Ravens from picking up where they left off?

light. Related Story. 3 goals for Patrick Onwuasor

The Ravens defense has a lot of new pieces to the puzzle as well. Jaylon Ferguson, Shane Ray and Pernell McPhee were brought into offset the losses of Terrell Suggs and Za’Darius Smith. The Ravens didn’t bring in a player to replace C.J. Mosley. Instead their going to ask Patrick Onwuasor and Kenny Young to tag team that task. The Ravens lost Brent Urban in free agency which doesn’t seem to have picked up much attention, though it wasn’t great news for Don Martindale. The defense still has sky high expectations. They still have to prove that the losses of some of their best players won’t stop them from dominating.

3. Are the Ravens rebuilding or did they already reload their roster?

The Ravens are changing the offense dramatically. The defense got a lot of attention from Eric DeCosta this offseason and it’s a very changed grouping of talent. This sounds a lot like a rebuild. They have a developing quarterback on a rookie deal and for the first time in quite a long time, they are actually a fairly young team.

The Ravens need to show that they didn’t just start building for the future. They need to show that they are ready to win right now. They still have John Harbaugh, who is one of the most experienced head coaches in football. They still have a plenty of veteran leaders like Marshal Yanda, Earl Thomas and Tony Jefferson. Did Eric DeCosta start a rebuilding process or did he keep a division championship team in condition to go back to the playoffs. That is the biggest question of this offseason and only time will tell.
