Edge: Ravens (Youth and Scheme)

Eric Weddle isn’t totally crazy for his claims… Both duos have a lot in common, as they both have talented veterans who have fought through injuries and suspensions, along with two younger cornerbacks who have rare physical gifts. Any team would love to have either duo on their roster.

Still, I have to give the edge to the Baltimore Ravens. They’re younger and fit perfectly with the scheme Defensive Coordiator Don Martindale wants to run. Peters has amazing ball skills, but struggled last year as he was often beaten deep and was caught biting on too many routes.

Next. Baltimore Ravens not on the roster bubble ahead of training camp. dark

After spending three seasons with the Ravens, it was surprising to hear Eric Weddle’s comments because he hasn’t even played a snap with the Los Angeles Rams and is already touting their corners as the best he’s ever played with. Granted, Peters and Talib are very good corners and should be given credit where it’s due but it’s still surprising.

We’ll see if any players mention it in the coming days, something to follow before the start of camp.
