After lots of speculation as to whether Baltimore Ravens rookie Marquise Brown would be ready to start the season, he’s since been cleared for practice.

Baltimore Ravens 2019 NFL Draft first round pick Marquise Brown has been cleared by team doctors to begin practicing as soon as Wednesday July 31st. Brown has been dealing with a Lisfranc injury that’s lingered since the 2019 NFL Draft process. The injury kept him from competing in the NFL combine. Regardless, the Ravens still selected Brown with the 25th overall pick.

This comes as big news for Baltimore, as fellow rookie wide receiver Miles Boykin has looked sharp in Training Camp thus far. Now, the Ravens will have both of their impressive rookie wide receivers to show out for camp.

Baltimore made Marquise Brown the first wide receiver taken in the 2019 NFL Draft, and the fourth receiver taken in the first round in franchise history. The hope is Brown can be an explosive play-maker as a rookie and open up the team’s offense down the field.

With Marquise Brown’s elite speed, the Ravens believe that he and quarterback Lamar Jackson could make the NFL’s fastest, deadliest quarterback/wide receiver combo. There’s not much standing in Brown’s way to being a starter by week one.

With Brown fully cleared for practice, there’s more time for the two to get acquainted with one-another. The potential for these two is as high as the sky, as Jackson’s touch passing appears to have improved significantly. Based off what Brown showed off during his days with the Oklahoma Sooners, we could witness a remarkable rookie campaign with optimism for years to come.
