The Baltimore Ravens have been a team built around veterans for a long time, but now a youth movement is coming with reliance on these five players.
There was once a ime where the Baltimore Ravens possessed perhaps the oldest roster in the NFL. While the unit was still full of young talent, the team relied on vets well-over the age of 30-years old for production. Name any position group and the claim remains true.
However, that claim is no longer as true as it once was. The Ravens still have a plethora of veterans and “older” players on this roster. However, the theme of this team is quickly changing into one full of youth and unproven talent.
Right now, Baltimore is adding young guys with tons of athleticism and upside. Sure, there’s safe player here and there like Miles Boykin and Orlando Brown Jr., but then there’s guys that the Ravens have taken gambles on like Trace McSorley and Tyus Bowser.
But when it comes to players who Baltimore has big plans for, five stick out more than others. These five players are guys with the potential to be franchise cornerstones for the next decade, maybe longer.
These five players could very well define who the Baltimore Ravens are in 2019 and beyond. Combined with their youth and talent, the Ravens could have something special on their hands. A couple of these guys haven’t played a down yet, while others are a few years into their career.
So, who are these five players? Some are more obvious than others, but these are the five players who will be cornerstones for the Baltimore Ravens franchise 25-years old or younger.
